Registering to Vote at Least 30 Days Before the Election

According to the Ohio Secretary of State's website, you must register to vote at least 30 days before the election. This applies even if you have moved to a different address in Ohio. You can register to vote or update your voter registration online through the Ohio Secretary of State's website.

The deadline to register to vote for the upcoming election is:

• For the May 2, 2023 primary election: April 3, 2023
• For the November 7, 2023 general election: October 9, 2023

Registering to Vote Online

To register to vote online, you will need to provide your Ohio driver's license or state identification card number. You will also need to provide your name, address, date of birth, and political party affiliation. Once you have completed the online registration form, you will need to click on the "Submit" button. Your voter registration will be processed within 24 hours.

Registering to Vote by Mail

You can also register to vote by mail by downloading a voter registration form from the Ohio Secretary of State's website. Once you have completed the form, you will need to mail it to your local board of elections. The deadline to register to vote by mail is the same as the deadline to register to vote online.
