Trump Rally Shooting Investigation Reveals New Details

Former President Uninjured After Assassination Attempt

Gunman Dead, Motives Under Investigation

WASHINGTON - Former President Donald Trump was uninjured Saturday after a gunman attempted to assassinate him at a rally in Phoenix, Arizona.

The shooter, identified as 21-year-old Alexander Leiby, was killed by Secret Service agents. Leiby had fired multiple rounds at Trump, who was unharmed.

Secret Service, along with local law enforcement and federal agencies, are currently investigating the incident.

Following the shooting, Trump's allies and supporters widely shared a photo of him with blood on his face. They claimed it demonstrated his strength and defiance, despite officials confirming that the blood was not Trump's.

In a statement released on Truth Social, Trump thanked the Secret Service and law enforcement for their swift response.

"I am deeply grateful to the Secret Service and law enforcement for their heroic actions today," Trump wrote. "I am also grateful for the support of my family, friends, and supporters."

Significant Support for Political Violence Blamed

In a disturbing development, experts are linking the assassination attempt to the widespread support for political violence in the United States.

"This is a direct consequence of the dangerous rhetoric that has become increasingly common in our political discourse," said political scientist David Rojek.

Rojek noted that, while political violence has a long history in the U.S., the recent surge in support for it is unprecedented.

"This is a very dangerous trend, and it is essential that we take action to address it," Rojek said.

The ongoing investigation into the assassination attempt is expected to shed more light on the motives behind the shooter and his connections, if any, to extremist groups.
