DeMar DeRozan: A Star on the Rise
Early Life and Career
WEB DeMar Darnell DeRozan was born on August 7, 1989, in Compton, California. He began his basketball journey at Dominguez High School, where he led his team to a CIF Southern Section championship in 2008. After graduating, DeRozan joined the University of Southern California (USC) Trojans for the 2008-09 season.
Professional Career
In the 2009 NBA Draft, DeRozan was selected 9th overall by the Toronto Raptors. He spent nine seasons with the Raptors, becoming a four-time NBA All-Star and an All-NBA Third Team selection in 2017. In 2018, DeRozan was traded to the San Antonio Spurs, where he played for three seasons. In 2021, he signed with the Chicago Bulls, where he currently plays.
